Bedwars
Bedwars is a lobby plugin and a game-server plugin that run Solo, Doubles, Trios and Quads matches across your network, with Scaffold included.
What you get
Bedwars is sold as one product made of two plugins:
| Plugin | Runs on | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Bedwars Lobby | Your Bedwars lobby servers | The /bedwars menu where players queue for a mode, their statistics, the leaderboards and a lobby sidebar. |
| Bedwars Game | Your Bedwars game servers | Runs the matches: builds an arena from a map, drops resources, sells items, tracks beds and kills, and saves the results. |
Scaffold, the minigame engine both plugins run on, is included with the purchase.
Modes
| Mode | Teams | Players per team | Most players in one match |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solo | 8 | 1 | 8 |
| Doubles | 8 | 2 | 16 |
| Trios | 4 | 3 | 12 |
| Quads | 4 | 4 | 16 |
Teams are Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Aqua, White, Pink and Gray. Trios and Quads use the first four.
How a match reaches a game server
- A player opens
/bedwarsin a Bedwars lobby and clicks a mode. - Once at least two teams' worth of players are queued for that mode, a map that is set up for the mode is picked and the players are sent to a Bedwars game server.
- The game server builds a fresh copy of the map and waits for players. More players from the same queue can join it until it is full.
- When the match ends, statistics are saved and players can queue again from the lobby.
What your network needs
| Requirement | Why |
|---|---|
| Paper 1.21.11 | Both plugins are built for Paper 1.21.11. |
| Java 25 | Scaffold needs Java 25 and will not load on older versions. The Bedwars plugins need Scaffold. |
| Bridge, with Kernel and Stash | Required on every Bedwars server. Bridge is sold separately and includes Kernel and Stash. See Bridge in the store. |
| MongoDB and Redis | Stash stores maps, statistics, queues and player layouts in them, and shares them between servers. |
| packetevents | Kernel needs it. Install it as a normal plugin in plugins/. |
Bridge connects each server to the Catalyst backend, set with catalystHost and catalystKey in Bridge's bridge.yml. Bridge will not start without a catalystKey.
You also need at least one Bedwars lobby and one Bedwars game server. Your licence limits how many IP addresses can run them. See Licences and servers.
