Replays and stats

Duels replays, the community replay review, spectating live matches, and the stats, leaderboards and match history players can open.

Replays

Game servers record every match and save the replay when it ends. Replays are kept for 30 days. Change this with replayRetentionDays in common-settings.yml on your game servers.

Replays are played back on the replay server, a DuelsGame server in the Kernel group stasis. Without one, /replay and /stasis cannot start. See Installation.

  • /replays [player] lists recent matches that have a replay.
  • /replay <match> watches a replay by its match id. A party leader brings along party members who are in a lobby and not queued.
  • The replay controls rewind and skip forward 5 seconds at a time. Change this with replay.skipSeconds in the game server's settings.yml.

Players need duels.matchhistory.others to open another player's replays.

Community review

/stasis (or /review) sends a player to watch a reported replay. The reported player's name is hidden in the replay. Players vote on whether the reported player is guilty.

  • A player needs 100 played duels before they can review. Players with sentry.staff skip this. Change it with lobby.reviewRequiredPlays in the lobby's settings.yml.
  • Reviewers with a poor accuracy record count for less. When weighted guilty votes reach 3, the player is flagged to staff. After 7 votes without a flag, the review closes. Change these with review.flagThreshold and review.closeVotes in the game servers' common-settings.yml.
  • Staff with sentry.staff settle a review with /stasisresolve <entry> <guilty|clean> on a game server. This also scores the reviewers.

Reports reach the review queue through /stasisqueue <player-uuid> <name> <match-uuid> <reporter-uuid>. It needs duels.stasisqueue and is meant to be run from the console by another plugin, such as an anticheat.

/duelsacreplay <player-uuid> <name> saves a staff-only replay of the last minute of that player's current match. It needs duels.acreplay and is also meant for console use. Staff-only replays can only be watched by players with sentry.staff, who are told when one is captured.

Spectating

  • /spectate <player> (or /spec) on the lobby sends you to watch that player's match.
  • /matches (or /live) lists the matches being played right now.
  • On the game server, /spectate switch watches the other player, /spectate free switches to free movement, /spectate camera switches to the camera view and /spectate leave stops spectating. Sneaking twice within 1.5 seconds also switches from the camera view to free view.
  • /spectate leave on the lobby stops following a player.
