Network tools
Toolkit's in-game editors for chat announcements, the tab list, bossbars and the notification inbox, plus rank vouchers.
Announcements
Toolkit sends rotating chat announcements. They are edited in game and saved for the whole network, so every server running Toolkit gets the same list.
Open the editor with /announcement editor (needs toolkit.). In the editor:
- Create a new announcement, then left-click it to edit its lines.
- Right-click an announcement to delete it.
- Shift-left-click an announcement to open its settings. There you choose which server groups receive it and change its conditions. With no groups it goes to every server.
- Open Edit Announcement Config to set the interval between announcements, the time unit (seconds, minutes or hours), a prefix put before every line, and padding, which adds a blank line before and after each announcement. Click Save to send the changes to every server.
Each server sends announcements to its own players in turn, one per interval. The default interval is one minute. Players can turn announcements off with the Server announcements setting.
Conditions
Shift-right-click an announcement to add a condition, typed in chat as namespace:value. Two namespaces are checked:
| Condition | Passes when |
|---|---|
rank-weight:<weight> | The player's rank weight is at least that number. |
server:<id> | The server's id matches. |
In the announcement's settings you can make each condition And, Or or Not. Press Q on the announcement to clear its conditions.
Tab list
/tablist (needs kernel.tablist) opens the tab list editor for this server's group. /tablist global edits the global settings instead.
The editor sets:
- the header and footer lines;
- whether the tab list is shown or hidden;
- the friends view. When it is on, players press sneak to switch the tab list between the normal list and their friends. Right-click the button to move the column the friends list starts in.
/tablist reload reloads the tab list settings from storage.
Bossbars
/bossbar (needs kernel.bossbars) opens the bossbar editor. /bossbar create <text> adds a bossbar shown to everybody.
For each bossbar you can set:
- the text, which can include a countdown;
- the colour and overlay style;
- a duration in seconds, or none so it never expires;
- whether it shows on the whole network or only on this server;
- whether it is shown or hidden.
/bossbar reload reloads bossbars from storage on every server.
Notifications
Players read notifications with /notifications. On join, players with unread notifications are told how many they have. The inbox has unread and all views; clicking a notification marks it as read.
Staff with toolkit. write them with /ns editor:
- Create a draft, then set its title, content, category and expiry.
- Publish it to send it to every player, or unlist it to turn it back into a draft.
- Open its metrics to see its status, category, audience, creation date and expiry.
Categories are General, Sales and Gamemodes. Players can turn each category off on the Notifications page of /settings. /ns test-inform replays the unread notice for yourself.
Vouchers
A voucher is a code that gives the player who redeems it a rank.
| Command | Permission | What it does |
|---|---|---|
/voucher create <rank> [duration] [uses] | bridge. | Creates a voucher and shows its code. |
/voucher list [page] | bridge. | Opens a menu of every voucher, or a list in the console. |
/voucher redeem <code> | none | Redeems a code. |
- Duration uses the same format as grants:
7d,12h,30m,1w,90sorperm. Leave it out for a permanent rank. - Uses defaults to 1. Each player can redeem a voucher once.
- Codes are not case-sensitive.
- The rank is granted on every server, and both creating and redeeming a voucher are recorded in Bridge's audit log.
