Grants

Give players Bridge ranks for a set time or permanently, on the whole network, a server group or one server, and revoke them.

What a grant is

A grant gives a player a rank. Each grant has:

  • A rank. You can only grant ranks with a lower weight than your own.
  • Scopes. Where it applies: the whole network, one or more server groups, or single servers.
  • A duration. A set time or permanent.
  • A reason, saved with the grant.

A player can hold several grants. They show the highest-weight visible rank that applies on the server they're on, and get the permissions of every grant that applies there.

Granting from the menu

/grant <player> walks you through four menus:

  1. Rank. Only ranks below your weight are listed.
  2. Scope. Pick Global, any server group, or any server. You can pick several groups and servers; picking Global clears the rest.
  3. Duration. Presets from 5 minutes to 1 year, a custom duration typed in chat, or Permanent.
  4. Reason. A preset, a custom reason typed in chat, or Unspecified. A confirmation follows.

The presets are set in menus.yml under grantDuration.presets and grantReason.presets.

  presets:
    - label: 1 week
      duration: 7d
    - label: 30 days
      duration: 30d

Granting from a command

/grantmanual <player> <rank> [duration] [reason] grants without menus. It always applies globally.

/grantmanual Steve VIP 30d Store Purchase
/grantmanual Steve Owner perm

Leave out the duration to make it permanent. From the console there are no weight limits, so store and automation commands can use it.

Durations

Durations combine numbers with w (weeks), d (days), h (hours), m (minutes) and s (seconds), like 1d12h or 90m. perm, permanent, forever and never mean permanent.

Viewing and revoking

/grants <player> first asks whether to show the player's rank grants or the permission nodes given to them directly. Rank grants are listed newest first.

  • Active permanent grants are green wool; active timed grants are yellow wool with the time left.
  • Each grant shows its rank, scopes, duration, reason, issuer and id.
  • Click an active grant to revoke it.
  • Shift-click Revoke All to revoke every active grant you're allowed to.

/ungrant <grant-id> <reason> revokes one grant by its id.

To revoke a grant you must outrank the rank, the player and the staff member who issued it. Revoking needs bridge.command.ungrant, and the New Grant button in the menu needs bridge.command.grant.
